any user wearing the full set will be fully immune to the wither effect.
the sword applies wither effect level 2 for 3 seconds on hit.
shift+right clicking with the sword will shoot a wither skull projectile
you can upgrade your netherite gear to witherite at a smithing table using a wither skeleton skull as the material, and the standard upgrade template.
WARNING enchantments may not be preserved from your netherite gear. I would recommend using a fresh armour set when you intend to upgrade until i can ensure that enchantments do carry over.
